Advanced Leg Exercises With Your Workout Program 2010

If you need your legs built, usually you would need to focus on exercises that are specifically for them. Here are a few exercises that you can do to gain leg and foot strength to help you in performing sports well.

Squats

If you want strengthened thighs, this is one of the most valuable exercises you could do. Your overall sports performance will increase because of the strength it gives to your thighs and calves. Once a barbell is over your shoulders, make sure the weight is no more than half of what your used to carrying, and start your squats. It begins as you bend down to make sure your thighs are parallel to the ground, and then raising yourself back up again. Do several reps and then take a break before you repeat your reps again. The more you lift, the more weight you’ll be able to do as time goes by.

Workout by Hopping

This is a one-legged jump that will strengthen both your legs. Hop on one foot for 20 meters, jumping as far as you can with each stride until you reach the end. Repeat this again with the other leg. Between each length you do for either leg, take a short break. By doing this, the muscles in your thigh and calves will be strengthened day by day.

The Lunge Workout

Stand with left foot about 15 inches ahead of your right foot. and by keeping your back straight, dip your body down until your left foot is only about a few inches from the ground. Lift yourself to the original position and alternate back and forth between legs, giving each an equal amount of reps. Repeat another set of reps after taking a short break. So you can keep your legs limber and strong by this great exercise.

To perform well in sports, these few leg and foot exercises will help increase their strength. These exercises will provide you with the adequate exercise you need and each time you do them you’ll feel the muscles in your legs stretching and tightening. By doing these routines daily, your legs will be ready for the next game or event you may have.
