Thursday, March 18th, 2010

When you have a problem with hair loss, you have many treatment options to choose from. One of the more popular options is the Provillus hair loss treatment system. The Provillus system uses the proven ingredient minoxidil plus a dietary supplement designed to help your body stop hair loss.

There are two different formulations - Provillus for Women or Provillus for Men. You must use the correct variety because the formula for men may be harmful to women that are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.

The Provillus for Men formula starts with a 5% solution of minoxidil. There are many hair loss treatments that have this ingredient.

Bacterial Vaginosis and Yeast Infection are not the Same Disease

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

The best way to describe the difference between bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection is by the type of vaginal discharge they produce. In a yeast infection, the discharge is normally thick, without odor and white. With bacterial vaginosis, the discharge is thin, milky white or gray, and in most cases has an unpleasant (fishy)

Normally the vagina contains an abundance of protective bacteria called lactobacilli. When these “good” bacteria are removed, there’s an overgrowth of potentially “bad” or harmful bacteria that can lead to BV. Yeast infections occur when a fungus (or yeast) called candida albicans becomes unbalanced in the vagina and intestinal tract, due to a bad diet and antibiotics, which allows the candida to multiply quickly.
